HR Assistant

The HR Assistant role is primarily responsible for assisting the HR team with hiring matters, payroll processing, and maintaining files.  This role reports to the HR Manager.
  • Support Staffing Coordinator in interviews for all part-time & seasonal candidates
  • Assist in conducting new hire onboarding presentation
  • Represent Rifle Paper Co. at external hiring events
  • Assist in new hire process including background checks, forms, and system set-up
  • Prepare new employee files (electronically and physically)
  • Verify/correct timecards and schedules weekly
  • Schedule & prepare for interview process and filter through job applications
  • Assist with processing of terminations and employment changes
  • General data entry/filing
  • Misc. clerical functions as assigned

  • High level of confidentiality
  • Good punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail a must
  • Ability and desire to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Tact and diplomacy
  • Superior verbal/written skills and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations on COBRA, FMLA, and general employment
