Except…
The enamel on the handle started chipping last year.
Because of my experience with cheaper (other brand) stainless insulated mugs, I babied this one. Didn’t put it in the dishwasher, hand washed, didn’t even use it as a travel mug. Just for my two cups of coffee each morning at home. It’s has a good life.
For the $40 price and level of care I have given this mug, I am disappointed that it has chipped.
Interestingly, the floral print still looks brand new. The lid doesn’t get used much but is good quality and doesn’t leak. It’s just the dang handle which is what I feel each time I pick it up.
Anyway, I don’t know if it’s a fluke or if 1.5 years is all I should expect for longevity, but I am sad because I have loved everything I purchased from Rifle Paper over the years but this one let me down.

The illustration is beautiful, and the mug is of excellent quality. It actually looks even better than in the product photos. The glow effect works well, although it’s a bit uneven across the different patterns.
The glow-in-the-dark feature starts working some time after the mug has been exposed to light. It didn’t glow right after unpacking, but began to work after just a few hours.
I’d definitely buy another holiday-themed mug from Rifle Papaer.
