My wife loves burning candles and incense. However, I have breathing problems, and many candles, especially the cheap ones (e.g., anything from Bath and Body Works), will trigger wheezing and sinus pressure. My doctor says it's due to their use of cheap, highly volatile fragrances. Not this candle. It gave me zero trouble, smells fantastic, and has barely burned down after a few uses.

The scent is warm and great for cold days. The packaging and the candle jar are also lovely. Pricey but worth it.

I've had many candles that purport to smell like heady Oriental spices but few deliver the goods. This one (fragrance name: The Souks of Marrakech) is the rare exception. I absolutely love the scent of this. It is, as the label says, Sweet and Spicy. If you're familiar the pungent Oriental scents of the 1980s like YSL Opium, Samsara and Calvin Klein's Obsession, you'll have a pretty good idea of both the fragrance profile and level of intensity here. This is particularly similar to Opium with a strong vanilla top note and base notes of patchouli, cedar and cashmere wood. Within one hour of lighting this, the entire house smelled like a night in the Casbah. And since Rifle is primarily known as a paper/stationery manufacturer, it's no surprise that they didn't skimp on the package design. The label on the burnt orange glass jar is suitably impressive - matte black with stylized flowers and peacocks.
This is a gorgeous, high quality candle. Perfect for gifting.
