Writing Pen

This was my first purchase of a Rifle Paper Company pen, and I purchased it because the pen looked very feminine and springlike with the flowers on the pen body. I loved the pastel color used in the floral background. I also gravitate towards rollerball tipped pens whenever possible for writing. The fact that brass accents were used on this pen makes this pen stand out for its looks alone. It is actually my favorite looking pen that I own. If I was rating this pen solely on its looks, I would have given this pen more than 5 stars if I could have - it looks that great.

However, what makes a pen good is how well it writes. While rollerballs normally glide across paper as you write, this pen seemed scratchy when writing. While the ink did not skip, (or like some rollerball pens do and almost leak ink when writing, leaving globs of it on your paper) the pen also did not glide over the paper either. And because of that, I rated this pen with four stars rather than 5, which is what I wish I could have given it.
