I bought 8 of these placemats. They are gorgeous and fit perfectly in our dining room. They are not laminated but have a matte surface with shiny gold paint. But a month later the gold paint is wiping off (I only wipe with a damp cloth as directed).
These placements are just what I was looking for my table for the Christmas holidays and I love them!!

I know that Christmas is over but I decided to get a jump on Christmas this year. I tried buying some cloth mats from Amazon and they turned out terrible!!! They did not have any have anything but cloth ones that get dirty and you have to wash and iron them plus the cloth ones were terrible in themselves! So, I decided to buy the cork Nutcracker placemats instead and boy was I surprised! They were fantastic!!! They are easy to clean and the colors are nice and bright! I love the Nutcracker anyway so, I am extremely happy with them!!! If you like the Nutcracker Ballet buy these before they are gone, you will be glad that you did!!! I wasn't sure about getting these placemats but after getting two thin material for placemats on Amazon I decided to give them a chance! They are fantastic!!!! The coloring is gorgeous and looks great in my kitchen!!! They are easy to clean up and are well made!!! I highly recommend theses if you are tired of cheaply made material placemats. Cork is really the best!!! Great customer service too if you should have a problem. They are simply the best!!!
