I bought 8 of these placemats. They are gorgeous and fit perfectly in our dining room. They are not laminated but have a matte surface with shiny gold paint. But a month later the gold paint is wiping off (I only wipe with a damp cloth as directed).
These placements are just what I was looking for my table for the Christmas holidays and I love them!!
I've been so curious about the Rifle Paper cork placements that I decided to grab a set of Spring Farm placements for the house. I was so shocked to see that my order was more than 8 lbs heavy and cost me a fortune to ship to my mailing address! It turns out these mats are larger and heavier than I expected. They're thick in width because of the cork. The design is printed over. Finally, they were shipped in a large box because of the HUGE bubble wrap.
My 5-star rating is for the placemats themselves. They're beautiful and of good quality. But my biggest issue with ordering from Rifle Paper online is how heavy the order becomes due to the packaging materials used—large bubble wrap and packaging boxes. I get that this ensures the items arrive safely, but the shipping costs rise instantly for me.
Love the design and the cork back. Just wipe clean!
These cork backed placemats are super sweet. Great to use through the spring summer and early fall. I am a big fan or corked back placemats. Frankly, I don’t understand why everyone doesn’t use them. So easy to keep clean, and they make a pretty table! Just don’t immerse them in water- simple wipe them down with a kitchen cleaner. I leave them stacked on the table. They are pretty and easy to grab when you need one. Rifle co designs are youthful and fun. Some of the other companies offer patterns that are more traditional or very contemporary. I purchased the black background from Rifle and co. They are both modern and classic. I have given sets as gifts and they have been well received! I recommend.
