It all starts with a painting. Our co-founder Anna Bond uses gouache, an opaque water color, to create original artwork that becomes our signature prints and patterns. Our world is full of bold colors, painted florals, and illustrated characters— and our goal is to create products that bring beauty to the everyday.

The pencil is nice; it’s metallic and the weight is good. What I don’t like about it is that the lead retracts when you put pressure on it so when you write it keeps retracting and that makes it an annoyance.
Bought this as a gift for my mom, so I tested it out before giving it to her.
Based on what the previous reviewer said, I did notice that the point was receding into the body of the pencil when I pressed down really hard/heavily while writing. Checked the pencil out and realized that the gold tip was slightly loose/not fully screwed in all the way, so I tightened it and the point held its position well after that. If you're heavy-handed or typically apply a lot of pressure when writing, the point will recede, but the pencil writes just fine with a lighter hand (or at least for me it does). Didn't experience any snapping or breaking off or the point, or it digging out parts of itself when pushing back up into the pencil body. I was able to easily scribble a quick note, jot down a message or phone number, and add items to a grocery/shopping list (things I know my mom would mainly use it to do).
And ofc, the obvious plus, it's very beautiful. She loves florals so I know she'll love the look of this and feel quite nice while using it!
It’s a beautiful pencil but the lead pushes back into the pencil causing fragments of lead to scrape off. This is using the lead that came from packaging.
I wish it wouldn’t happen, so I could use the pencil more often since it is a beautiful piece.
I loved that the pencil matches all the designs that I have on my folders. I also love that it is refillable and has an eraser which I hope is refillable too. The only problem is that I seem to need to write with the pencil straight up and down since some of the end isn’t lead. It looks to be but when up close, it isn’t. It might require a learning curve for me since I write on its side, not straight up. I keep adding more lead but I’m hesitant because I feel like it will break if too much extended.
The pencil is great and pretty but functionally it has a spring action to it that when you push down to write it pushes the lead in to the pencil and honestly makes it difficult to control which is unfortunate because it's a very pretty pencil otherwise that would be fun to use.
