Perennial Garden Party Power Loomed Rug

I bought three different sizes of this rug! It adds so much color to rooms! I also bought pads for each rug because they are so light weight they moved easily on the floor when walked on. But now they are perfect! They give a classic and whimsical feel at the same time. I have one in the kitchen, at the front door and the back door. I saw the rug at a friend’s house and absolutely loved it!! She told me where I could order it

I'm always excited to purchase Rifle Paper items, especially in garden party or peacock. When this rug went on sale for the holidays, I snapped up the runner version. And while it's a decent quality rug, but doesn't emit as much joy and whimsy as I'd hoped.

Positives: The rug is thick and good quality. It clearly was made with care, and it's probably one of Rifle's better offerings for the type of rug it is as well as the price. It's billed as an indoor/outdoor rug, and I see that being true, though I'm using mine in an interior hallway. I've only had my rug for a few days, but it's starting to flatten out nicely (It was shipped rolled up). It dampens sound on my hardwoods very well and seems to withstand shoes so far.

Challenges: The rug slips around quite a bit because there's no backing; they're description doesn't claim one, but I wanted to point it out for buyers. You'll likely want a nonskid rug pad or at least nonskid corners for this. Being an outdoor rug, it is not soft at all - it feels rough, like burlap sacks or a cat's scratching post. I'm ok with that in the hall, but others may not be. Packaging and shipping were great, but the plastic and the rug itself both have a terrible odor that's taking a while to dissipate, so sensitive noses should be aware. Finally, although this is in the beloved garden party print, it's much, much more muted than usual. The white is more of a cream, there's not as much pink as usual, and the colors look more appropriate for…
