I got this to do all of my meal planning for the week so I wouldn't be worried about choosing healthy meals. The meal planner and shopping list tear off easily so you can hang the meal plan on the fridge and take the list to the store.

Attractive quality paper to make meal planning a little more enjoyable. I wish the first day on the page started with Sunday - it would make more sense for my household.

We use this to lay out meals and shopping lists for the nanny who isn’t all that comfortable cooking since she doesn’t have a family herself. It makes sure there is variety, and a balance of protein, vegetables, and a carb for each dinner and that we are not scrambling at the last minute trying to feed 3 kids who will start raiding the pantry for snacks 15 min before dinner time unless we have a meal ready to go. It also keeps kids, parents and grandparents in the loop with everyone seeing the plan and we do ask the kids for input at the beginning of the week. Then when they turn their nose up at something we remind them they put it on the menu 🥴

I've been using this meal planner for several years, buying a new pad once a year when I run out of the old one. I love it. This has been the most helpful meal planner I've come across, with enough lines for each day's meals and a few extra for the random things you need to remember (like dessert for Sunday family dinner). The shopping list is plenty big, and it's so helpful to be able to add grocery items as you decide your weekly meals. I've never run out of room to note what I need to buy (though to be fair, it's just my husband and I, and I could see larger family units needing more room for more items). The design is simple and clean and not too busy. I've never had a problem with separating the list portion from the weekly meals; tearing it off has always left a clean edge.
